Momentum Credit was founded in March 2017 to meet the overwhelming market need of providing structured working capital solutions to Individuals and Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

About the Role:

This is a great opportunity to take ownership and grow with Kenya’s leading non-bank lender. Reporting into the CEO, you will be responsible for driving the strategic brand direction core to accelerate the growth and profitability of the company.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing

  • Develop, execute and champion Momentum’s internal and external brand strategy.
  • Oversee the company’s spend on marketing budgets to optimise ROI.
  • Develop effective tactical marketing plans to support product sales.
  • Oversee new product launches and the development of the company’s sub product brands.
  • Drive the digital marketing strategy across all social media platforms.

Customer Experience (CX)

  • Measure internal and external CX to grow the company’s overall NPS and brand positioning.
  • Monitor internal and external CX complaints across all channels and ensure timely and effective issue resolution.
  • Drive digital projects that leverage omnichannel engagement with clients to support a superior CX.
  • Champion CX across the organization.

Communications & CSR

  • Develop and implement the Company’s CSR / CSI strategy.
  • Drive effective internal and external communications to support the Company’s overall strategy.

Potential opportunity for growth. 

Strategy Review

  • Support the CEO in monitoring the progress of the Company in meeting its long-term strategic goals.
  • Review and assess cross-departmental progress in achieving the company’s strategic goals.
  • Support Product Leaders (PLs) in developing product business development strategies and tactical plans that support the company’s overall strategic goals and annual budgets.
  • Conduct regular local and global market and competitor analysis to establish:
  • The strength of the company’s offering and marketing positioning.
  • identify new and innovative disruptive business models that could be adopted to accelerate growth.

Business Analysis 

  • Develop effective tools and KPIs to monitor day-to-day and month-on-month business performance across the business.
  • Identify points of departure from agreed product strategic plans and work with PLs to develop and implement remedial plans.
  • Ensure the optimal use of data across the company to support business development through up-selling and cross selling to maximise revenue generated per client.

Must have

  • You are a graduate with 5+ years of experience in a commercial or marketing role.
  • You have a strong verbal and written communicator in English.
  • You are an analytical thinker who works with numbers on a daily basis.
  • You have 3+ experience managing a small team.

Preferred: 

  • You are well aware of the current Marketing and Customer Experience trends.
  • You are passionate about business model design and strategy development.
  • You have a strong track record of project management with a focus on execution.
