Job description

About the role

BURN is looking for a Cost Analyst who will work closely with the Finance and Manufacturing Team and any other management team to ensure the company is reaching the economic set targets.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain cost accounting system, documentation, and record
  • Collecting and analyzing data about a company’s operational costs
  • Review costs for all external inventory, labor, and material purchases
  • Reviewing beginning raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished-goods stock
  • Review existing purchases, record data, recommend new cost-efficient and financially feasible cost options
  • Oversee and analyze manufacturing BOMs and variances
  • Analyze and recommend costs and cost savings
  • Validate revenue and cost of goods sold as part of the month-end close
  • Prepare monthly operations variance analysis reports, for all relevant fixed and variable cost line items
  • Help support operations budgeting for quarterly and annual forecasts of manufacturing cost drivers.


Requirements

  • Familiarity with business and financial principles
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Leadership ability
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Knowledge of quick books
  • Strong technology expertise, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, preferably MS NAV/Business Central.

 

Education and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or any other related field.
  • Proven work experience as Cost Accountant
  • Experience in budgeting and forecasting
