About the role
BURN is looking for a Cost Analyst who will work closely with the Finance and Manufacturing Team and any other management team to ensure the company is reaching the economic set targets.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cost accounting system, documentation, and record
- Collecting and analyzing data about a company’s operational costs
- Review costs for all external inventory, labor, and material purchases
- Reviewing beginning raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished-goods stock
- Review existing purchases, record data, recommend new cost-efficient and financially feasible cost options
- Oversee and analyze manufacturing BOMs and variances
- Analyze and recommend costs and cost savings
- Validate revenue and cost of goods sold as part of the month-end close
- Prepare monthly operations variance analysis reports, for all relevant fixed and variable cost line items
- Help support operations budgeting for quarterly and annual forecasts of manufacturing cost drivers.
Requirements
- Familiarity with business and financial principles
- Excellent communication skills
- Leadership ability
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Knowledge of quick books
- Strong technology expertise, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, preferably MS NAV/Business Central.
Education and Experience
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or any other related field.
- Proven work experience as Cost Accountant
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting
