Overall Purpose of the Job:
Duties and Responsibilities:
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Key Result Areas/ Key Performance Indicators (5-6 areas)
1) 100% induction for new staff and continuous Trainings and awareness all staff.
2) A 5 % reduction per year of the volume of waste to landfill by increasing recycling.
3) Timely completion of internal audits and inspections and closure of corrective action.
4) Accurate recording and investigation of accidents with adequate root cause aiming at reducing accidents occurrence.
5) Health and safety meeting held as per work plans.
Performance Indicators (3-5 indicators)
Job specifications:
Qualifications
1. Degree/ Diploma in Environmental Science or equivalent
2. Relevant trainings in Occupational Health and safety is an added advantage
Experience
1 – 2 years’ experience in a similar role
Core COMPETENCIES
1. An understanding of NEMA, DOSHS and County government guidelines
2. Understating of Kenya Environmental, health and Safety legislations
3. Basic knowledge on Risk Assessment and hazard identifications process
4. Basic knowledge of Accident Investigation procedures
