Finance Manager
FSD EthiopiaJOB PURPOSE
The Finance Manager is responsible for supporting FSD Africa and FSDAI's financial sustainability by ensuring good financial planning and management as well as overall compliance with FSD Africa and Investment Partner policies and with statutory rules and regulations. He/She is responsible for the day to day financial operations; implementing FSD Africa’s financial program/system to provide effective support to the institution. He/She plans, directs, and is responsible for providing quality financial services to all projects, units, and staff of FSD Africa/FSDAI. The Finance Manager reports directly to Chief Finance Officer and works closely with Senior Management and other cross-functional teams to ensure that partnership is developed between finance, and other departments/pillars.

Work closely with the Financial Analyst to provide accurate, timely and meaningful financial analysis and management information; enabling Management to make effective financial decisions:
Accounts Receivable
Oversee the management and monitoring of incoming funds (grants and investment interest) to ensure timely and accurate receipt:
Disbursement of Payments
Oversee the disbursement of funds; ensuring that accurate and timely payments are made to vendors, implementing partners, service providers, and other stakeholders:
Ensure that all payments and funds are disbursed accurately and on time, and that the general ledger and sub ledgers are updated
Plan and allocate payroll costs to project and donor budgets, and ensure that the payroll is processed on a timely and accurate basis
Ensure team compliance and that all payments are made in line with FSD Africa’s financial policies and standards
Ensure that all matters relating to tax reporting and payments are made accurately and on time
Compliance
Ensure financial compliance with:
MOU requirements & restricted grants
FSDA & FSDA(I) policie
Tax regulatory requirements (withholding tax, PAYE, etc)
Professional standards (IFRS, IAS, etc)
Financial Administration
Ensure that routine financial administration is carried out in accordance with good accounting practice:
Oversee the management of inventory at all times (consumables and fixed assets), and ensure the accuracy of FSD Africa’s fixed asset register
Ensure that financial records (both system and physical) are adequately maintained within FSD Africa
Provide team, staff, and suppliers with guidance and sensitisation on improved payment processes, accountability, and practices
Team Leadership
Lead the Finance team in effective and efficient management of financial resources and the provision of high levels of (internal & external) customer service:
