Who is the Latam Director at Sistema.bio

Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a growth strategy in Mexico and support our build our partnerships in Central and South American.

You’ll be in charge of:

  • Translating our global strategy into clear and tangible outcomes for Latin America.
  • Overall general manager of the Latin American teams
  • Directing the commercial strategy in the region, with a focus on supporting direct customer sales in key markets and building a strategy for building partnerships in the rest of the region. These include NGO programs, government programs, social enterprises and commercial distributors.
  • Driving commercial growth through both B2B and B2C channels: developing, managing and growing a pipeline of customer base, engaging in screening discussions, negotiating agreements, responding to tenders, and coordinating with fulfillment teams (logistics, technical, and/or R&D).
  • Participating in marketing strategies in Spanish for the region in collaboration with the global marketing and coms teams.
  • Managing the financial and administrative teams to ensure strong backoffice support for field teams
  • Managing technical directors (together with the Global Technical Director) to ensure efficient operations.
  • Managing specific high impact projects and collaborations
  • Ensuring Sistema.bio is well positioned in the ecosystem of impactful companies creating positive change in the region, specifically in the areas of sustainable and regenerative agriculture, clean energy and social development.
  • Coaching and empowering team leaders in Latam to execute on our Latam strategy
  • Be a representative and public figure for Sistema.bio in Latam, representing our culture and vision.

This is a significant leadership role, and we are looking for passionate, self driven leaders that want to make a positive impact in the world. The right candidate could significantly increase the size and impact of the Latin American operations and eventually grow into a senior global role. 

  • You are passionate about creating social and environmental impact through social business in rural markets in Central or Latin America.
  • You have experience running and growing a small company, project, organization or a department.
  • You have over proven experience in developing and managing partnerships, preferably in rural markets, in the renewable energy or agriculture sector.
  • You enjoy setting, tracking and meeting commercial goals and can motivate a team around them
  • You have experience and are comfortable about managing people, especially across a broad range of cultural and geographic ranges.
  • You are a very self-driven and a creative problem solver in a fast-moving environment.
  • You enjoy rolling-up your sleeve and getting your hands dirty (literally) and you are able to lead by example.
