Job description

·        Responsible for implementing the warehouse plan for his/her section on a daily basis that ensures optimum efficiency of resources, and when integrated with the other section plans achieves the overall objectives of the warehouse team being 100% DIFOT, and order Fulfiment are met.

·        Manages warehouse layout optimization, facilitating material and waste flow.

·        Responsible for stock control, ordering and re-ordering and bin locations, taking into account seasonal variations and customer requirements.

·        Applies effective working knowledge and process monitoring skills of all relevant equipment in his/her area that ensures optimum throughput and quality measures.

·        Determine and approve replacement stock levels and to ensure stock management systems are operating correctly and to report issues to the relevant departments.

  • Actively engages and participates in the daily warehousing meetings, and shares relevant updates with the team to ensure that appropriate and timely decisions are made to optimize manufacturing performance for the day.

·        Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of documents that are relevant to the section, such as HACCP, quality checks and safety related paperwork.

·        Reports all incidents and accidents to the warehouse shift supervisor, and takes the lead when an incident arises until trained first aiders are in place and active.

·        Regularly and systematically reviews performance of the internal supply chain mechanisms, being supply and delivery in full and on time form adjacent sections, providing feedback to fellow team leaders and formally as and when requested

·        Is aware of the financial implications of his/her decisions, and the overall performance of the section, and takes appropriate actions to avoid negative impact on the business. Such factors include wastage, processing rates, and stock losses, quality rejections, over and under staffing implications.
